Parallax
The parallax effect is a visual technique where the foreground and background elements move at different speeds – to create an illusion of depth. It's a very effective method to use in a number of scenarios.
This particular one for the university of Salford was designed to be be used by digital advertising screens. But they can be used in social media too.
